Kirk Herbstreit Claps Back At People Criticizing Him For Ohio State Ranking
Of course he would? Remember I’m the guy who had UGA ahead of B1G champ Ohio State for last playoff spot last year despite their 2 losses AND the year before that Alabama despite not playing in the SEC title game ahead of Ohio St in 2017-So of course I would? Try again big fella.Of course he would?Remember I’m the guy who had UGA ahead of B1G champ Ohio State for last playoff spot last year despite their 2 losses AND the year before that Alabama despite not playing in the SEC title game ahead of Ohio St in 2017-So of course I would? SEC analyst Paul Finebaum also said he would have given Ohio State his vote in the AP if he had one and Fox Sports’ Joel Klatt has them No. 1 as well.Finebaum even took it a step further than Herbstreit, stating that Ohio State has been nearly perfect in all areas this season.Herbstreit may love Ohio State, but it doesn’t look like he’s letting any bias affect his judgement right now. Though they were ranked No. 4 in the AP poll that followed, ESPN analyst and former OSU quarterback Kirk Herbstreit ranked them as his No. 1 team. But some folks on Twitter didn’t take kindly to Herbstreit picking his alma mater as the top team in the nation. When one fan responded to Kirk Herbstreit ranking Ohio State No. 1 by saying “Of course he would,” Herbstreit clapped back.On Monday, Herbstreit fired back by reminding everyone that he ranked Georgia ahead of Ohio State for a College Football Playoff spot last year. He also picked Alabama to get into the CFP ahead of Ohio State in 2017.
