A Thanksgiving Toast
Here at Network for Good, we spend a lot of time throughout the year helping nonprofits like yours find more meaningful ways to say thanks to donors for supporting your mission. But today is Thanksgiving, and we’d like to extend a simple, heartfelt thanks to you for making a difference in the world.Especially in a year like this one, with so many people in need after disasters both natural and manmade, it takes special people with tremendous dedication, empathy, and energy to plug along day in and day out, making goals and raising funds to do amazing, necessary work. And from where we stand, you are those people, and you are doing a fantastic job.Let’s raise a glass to what you’ve achieved. There are endless inspiring stories from Network for Good customers like you. Here are just a few that warm our hearts:Mittens for Detroit distributes new mittens and gloves to children and adults in need. Since the nonprofit’s founding in 2010, they’ve distributed more than 600,000 pairs. That’s a lot of warm hands.Renaissance Social Services, Inc., in Chicago helps at-risk community members find safe and secure housing and get the services they need to live with health, dignity, and stability. Last year, they raised 10 times more than the year before and served 715 families—all with a fundraising staff of two.Pistarckle Theater, in the U.S. Virgin Islands, organizes after-school arts programs and summer theater camps for children and teens. Following the devastation of hurricanes Irma and Maria, the St. Thomas–based theater hosted the Children’s Hurricane Recovery Project, a day camp to help children express and channel their trauma through art therapy. The camp also gave parents much-needed time to work or rebuild their homes.We couldn’t be more proud of you, our Network for Good family of customers, and we love to celebrate your victories, large and small.
