PALMDALE – A 16-year-old was arrested Thursday on suspicion of attempted murder in the gang-related shooting of another teen, authorities said. The suspect, who was not identified because of his age, is accused of shooting a 15-year-old boy in the back about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday during an altercation in the 37400 block of 37th Street East. The victim, whose name was not immediately available, was airlifted to Providence-Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, where he was listed in stable condition. The suspect was arrested about 6 a.m. Thursday in his east Palmdale home, officials said. The shooting occurred after the suspect emerged from a compact sedan, approached a group of teens and exchanged gang affiliations, officials said.
