first_imgMassimo Luongo has completed his move from Swindon to Queens Park Rangers.The Australia international midfielder, who has joined for an undisclosed fee, has signed a three-year deal with the Hoops.He is the first signing by Chris Ramsey since his permanent appointment as QPR boss earlier this month.The 22-year-old, a former Tottenham academy player, previously played under Ramsey during his time as a youth coach at White Hart Lane.Speaking to Rangers’ official website, Ramsey said: “Mass is a player I know a lot about having played a part in his development at Spurs.“He brings quality on the ball, the ability to link up play all across the pitch, and his goals and assists record at club and international level speaks volumes for a creative midfielder.“As with any young player, there are areas of his game that need improving, but knowing him as I do, I know he will embrace the learning curve of playing for us in the Championship.“I’m confident he will flourish at Loftus Road.”Ramsey is moving quickly to reshape his squad following the club’s relegation from the Premier League.Joey Barton, Richard Dunne, Rio Ferdinand, Bobby Zamora, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Brian Murphy have all been released, while Luongo is expected to be the first of a host of new arrivals.
